Pre-Planning Guide

Increasingly, people from all walks of life are taking the enlightened step of pre-planning their own funeral service and burial arrangement, and assisting with advance plans for parents and other family members.

Pre-planning means to put in order all aspects of your funeral, or the funeral of parents and other loved ones, from type of service to type of burial. It allows you to make preparations so the burden of difficult decisions is removed from surviving family members. It establishes an understanding of your final wishes and the assurance that they will be carried out. Pre-planning provides for the arrangements that create peace of mind.

The benefits of pre-planning with Bringhurst and Turner Funeral Homes and West Laurel Hill Cemetery are many. While most families who pre-plan with us find the greatest advantage to be peace of mind, there are other considerations. One is that any decisions you make today can easily be altered tomorrow should your circumstances or preferences change. Another is that the funeral plans you so carefully work out with us are transferable should you relocate. Yet another is the advantage of locking in today’s cost against tomorrow’s price increases.

There is neither charge nor obligation for helping you with your arrangements. At your discretion, you can choose to fund your plan. Funding, however, is not a requirement of pre-planning.

Our interactive pre-planning guide will show you some of the choices you will face when making your pre-arrangements.
